Community Consultation Action Plan

The Transportation Community Consultation Action Plan (TCCAP) is approved by the board of trustees to outline the process in which Grande Yellowhead will engage with their internal and external stakeholders regarding their current needs or transportation concerns. The core belief of the board of trustees is that all concerns will be reviewed in the best interests of our students with regards to the impact on their education.

The consultation plan has simply been developed in order to review current data, identify the needs of students, address the concerns of parents, and come up with an effective plan in order to provide a smooth transition on bus routes.

The Transportation Community Consultation Action Plan (TCCAP) is driven by the three goals of the Board:

  1. Encourage community engagement by providing opportunities to involve all stakeholders in transportation
  2. Keep all interested parties well-informed in advance of all upcoming changes in the area of transportation that may affect or change their child’s current route or ridership time
  3. Provide details of specific communication tools or strategies in multiple ways including the use of local media and the division’s website

We will continue to build and add to the plan as new concerns or recommendations are presented. To date, we have received input and support from internal stakeholders and created processes that will become the foundation of our operation. Communication methods and project tools are primed in anticipation of communicating the division’s progress and goals to all stakeholders involved.
