GYPSD hosted a junior kindergarten information session in Edson for over 30 parents from Edson, Niton, and Fulham. Director of Inclusive Learning, Kim McConnell, facilitated the informative session around Flight, Alberta's Early Learning and Care Curriculum Framework, that guides the Division's early learning and childcare educators, and provides supports for students. Superintendent Carolyn Lewis and Deputy Superintendent Karen Shipka spoke of the Division's priority of offering world-class public education from junior kindergarten to Grade 12. Board Chair Brenda Rosadiuk, Vice-Chair Joan Zaporosky and representatives from the Learning Services team were also in attendance. Two GYPSD high school students helped out with some fun technology resources to keep the little ones busy during the presentation. A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us! Please contact your local school to learn more about all our world-class public education programs.
