GYPSD offers French Immersion programming in the communities of Jasper, Hinton, and Edson from K to Grade 12. Many of our students apply and earn their DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Lanque Française) certification. DELF is a useful certificate to have, particularly when applying to French jobs or for access to French universities. Students in French Immersion greatly benefit from the ability to learn a second language and experience rich cultural traditions. In addition, students have the opportunity to challenge the DELF/DALF French exams in Grades 11/12. The DELF and the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official diplomas awarded by the French National Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside of France in the French language. This is a great culmination to a student’s chosen program and addition to their resumé. Each exam evaluates the four communication skills of reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Bien joué Amelie!
