The registration deadline for this year's Summer School is June 3rd. Summer School is for all students in Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 in Alberta.
Summer School is an intense format for studies in which all of the Alberta Education outcomes in the Program of Studies that are normally taught in a semester are taught in fewer hours. Summer School is a great opportunity for students to free up room in their timetables for other courses or to upgrade marks. Each class is taught by a teacher and will involve instruction, assessment and student work every day. These are NOT self-paced courses and attendance is required during the set class time.
All of our courses will be in-person at Parkland Composite High school in Edson from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. This year, GYPSD is offering CALM, Physical Education 10, CALM & PE 10 combined, Biology 20, English 30-1 and 30-2, and Social Studies 30-2 July 5 to 22.
