GNS: Extra Curricular Opportunities

Along with excellence in academics, GYPSD schools offer a range of extra-curricular options for students to enjoy and excel in.
Grand Trunk High School in Evansburg has a proud history of sports excellence and this year's junior girls' volleyball team is keeping up with tradition. The team consists of 13 girls in Grades 8 and 9, and are led by three community coaches, Angela Miko, Marin Hindes and Brian William, and Grade 10 student Alissa Miko who is serving as the team's manager.
At the recent 2J zones tournament at Ecole St. Joseph School in Whitecourt, the team were a powerhouse throughout the majority of the tournament and forced a rematch for the gold win in the
third set against Holy Trinity Academy from Drayton Valley. Congrats to all the coaches, parents, and players on the victory.
And congratulations to all our volleyball teams from across the Division from Jasper to Evansburg who participated in the GYAC tournament in Hinton on November 15th!
