GNS: PCHS Student Golf Champion
Posted on:GYPSD is always proud to recognize the accomplishments of our students, both in and out of the classroom. On September 21, 2021, Zoe Banack, from Parkland Composite High School in Edson, shot an 82 at Barrhead Golf Club to become the Northwest Zone Champion! She will represent Parkland at the Alberta Schools' Athletic Association's Provincial Golf Championship which has been rescheduled to the spring of 2022. Zoe has been competing since she was 14 years old. She first got involved with golf and participating in tournaments when she was at École Pine Grove Middle School in Edson as a member of the Panther Golf Team coached by teacher, Roger Redman. After high school, Zoe hopes to get a golf scholarship and her bachelor’s degree in business or political science, and then go to law school to study criminal law. She enjoys painting, math, and the television show Brooklyn Nine-Nine. We wish her all the best in the spring provincials as well as towards her future career goals!
