New Secretary Treasurer

Immediate Release: December 5, 2023 - Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) is pleased to announce that Mr. Jun Lin has accepted the position of Secretary-Treasurer and will be joining the Finance team on January 8, 2024.
In the fall of 2007, Jun got his first job in Canada with the University of Alberta as a budget analyst after completing his MBA from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal. Shortly afterwards, he was recruited by the Ministry of Energy - Government of Alberta / Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission (APMC) in Calgary. He became a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 2010, gaining valuable senior and leadership experience with his tenure at the APMC. In the fall of last year, Jun joined the management team at the Office of Controller in the Treasury Board and Ministry of Finance - Government of Alberta.
As part of his new role, Jun will be responsible for the accuracy of funding received by the Division and ensure that it is fiscally responsible, bringing forth financial accountability. He will be producing reports in compliance with all legal Ministerial mandates and timelines, as well as providing strategic support to the Board. Jun is looking forward to joining the Division and his new responsibilities as Secretary-Treasurer.
Jun and his wife, along with his three girls, enjoy travel and other cultural events.
