School Bus Driver Appreciation Day!

May 6th is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day which allows staff, students, and families to thank school bus drivers and to show them how much their service is appreciated.
Grande Yellowhead Public School Division operates 54 routes, transporting over 2,200 students, over 8,000 km daily. Behind these impressive statistics are dedicated and skilled drivers who safely deliver our students to their schools and homes every school day through the varied conditions of Alberta weather and roads. Many of these hard-working and dedicated individuals use their skills to go the extra mile in their communities; last year many of our drivers also volunteered to assist with evacuation efforts in the Edson and Lobstick zones to help those in need.
