GTHS Students Put Physics in Motion

Posted on:

Students from Grand Trunk High School in Evansburg recently had to flex their design and research skills for building optimal bottle rockets as part of their study of Projectile Motion in Physics 20. After each group designed the most efficient rocket, students conducted several trials to determine the optimal angle of launch in order to maximize the range the rockets traveled. This hands-on learning opportunity was a fun and informative learning strategy for the students to apply their physics knowledge to calculate the velocity of the rocket at launch and time in the air for each trial.
